ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective a special nighttime hand brace, called an extension orthosis, is for people with trigger finger after they have received a cortisone injection. Trigger finger is a condition where your finger gets stuck in a bent position, causing pain and discomfort. The researchers want to find out if using this brace at night can help reduce pain and improve hand function better than not using the brace over a 12-week period.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with trigger finger, having already received a cortisone injection for it. Unfortunately, people with certain conditions, like rheumatoid arthritis or severe hand injuries, are not eligible. If you join the trial, you will be asked to use the brace at night and report how it affects your pain and ability to use your hand. This is a great opportunity to potentially improve your condition while helping researchers learn more about effective treatments for trigger finger.
