ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how the HPV vaccine affects menstrual cycles in women of reproductive age. Researchers want to understand if there is a connection between the vaccine and any changes in menstrual patterns, like irregular periods or missed cycles. This is important because while the HPV vaccine helps prevent cervical cancer, there have been some reports of menstrual issues following vaccination, and this study aims to gather more information about those experiences.
To participate in the trial, women between the ages of 18 and 45 who have had regular menstrual cycles and received at least one dose of the HPV vaccine are eligible. Participants will complete a questionnaire about their menstrual cycles before and after getting the vaccine. The study is currently recruiting participants, and those who qualify can expect to share their experiences through surveys and interviews, helping to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the HPV vaccine. It’s important to note that women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical conditions affecting their menstrual cycles will not be able to join the study.
