ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new tool called the Personalized INtubation Safety (PINS) Bundle, which aims to improve the safety of a procedure called tracheal intubation for infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Tracheal intubation is when a tube is placed in an infant's windpipe to help them breathe. The study will assess how well this personalized planning tool helps reduce complications and improve outcomes for babies who need this procedure.
Infants who are currently in the NICU and need to undergo tracheal intubation may be eligible to participate in this trial. The study is open to all infants up to one year old, but it does not include babies who are having their breathing tubes changed, as that is a different procedure. If your baby participates, they will be closely monitored during and after the intubation to see how well the PINS Bundle works. This trial is important because it could lead to safer intubation practices and better care for vulnerable newborns.
