ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) program in helping patients with chronic low back pain increase their physical activity. Chronic low back pain is a common issue, and understanding how to better manage it without medication is important for improving patients' quality of life. The researchers believe that teaching patients about the science of pain and how to cope with it may lead to more physical activity, which can help improve their condition. Participants will wear a connected watch to objectively track their physical activity levels over the months following the program.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be over 18 years old, have chronic low back pain for more than three months, and be receiving treatment at a specific hospital. However, those with certain conditions that limit their ability to walk, or those who cannot participate in educational programs for other reasons, will not be included. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to engage in either the PNE program or a back school program, with follow-ups to see how their physical activity and pain levels change over time. This study aims to provide valuable insights into which educational approach is more effective for managing chronic low back pain.
