ClinConnect Summary
The Registry for Vascular Trauma and Follow-up Examinations is a clinical trial aimed at understanding how to better treat patients with vascular injuries resulting from trauma. Vascular injuries involve damage to the blood vessels and can occur alone or alongside other serious injuries. Since these types of injuries are quite rare, this study will gather information from patients treated at Augsburg University Hospital to learn more about the best treatment options and their long-term effects.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be over 18 years old and have experienced a vascular injury due to trauma. Patients who are willing to provide written consent can join, while those who are unable to consent due to severe injuries or who have passed away from their injuries may also be included. Participants will have their injuries carefully monitored, and their recovery will be tracked over time to help improve future treatments for similar cases. This research is important as it aims to fill gaps in knowledge about how healthy blood vessels respond to trauma compared to those with existing diseases.
