ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how robotic surgery affects the daily life and overall well-being of older patients with colorectal cancer. The goal is to see if this advanced surgical technique helps improve their functional abilities, like moving around and performing everyday tasks, as well as their quality of life after surgery.
To participate in the trial, patients need to be at least 70 years old and diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and they must have been approved for surgery by a team of medical experts. Unfortunately, those who have serious cognitive issues, require emergency surgery, or have a life expectancy of less than three months cannot join. If eligible, participants can expect to undergo robotic surgery and then be monitored for changes in their health and quality of life over time. This study is currently recruiting participants and aims to provide valuable insights that could benefit older adults facing colorectal surgery.
