ClinConnect Summary

**Clinical Trial Summary: Free Mucogingival Graft for Isolated Root Coverage**

This clinical trial is investigating a specific surgical technique called the free mucogingival graft (FMG) to help improve the appearance and health of gums in patients with a condition known as gingival recession. Gingival recession occurs when the gums pull back from the teeth, exposing the roots and potentially leading to sensitivity and other dental issues. The trial focuses on patients who have noticeable gum recession around their lower front teeth and other complications that might make standard treatment less effective.

To participate in this study, you need to be a healthy adult aged between 65 and 74, with significant gum recession and specific gum conditions. The study is currently looking for participants, so if you are interested, it’s important that you don’t smoke heavily, are not pregnant, and don’t have certain medical conditions that could complicate oral surgery. If you join, you can expect to undergo the FMG procedure, which aims to restore your gum health and improve your smile. Overall, this trial hopes to provide new insights into treating gum recession effectively.
