ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special program designed to help patients prepare for surgery on the pancreas, particularly for those with pancreatic cancer. The study wants to find out if this prehabilitation program, which focuses on improving certain health factors before surgery, can help patients recover faster and reduce complications after their operation. The main questions are whether patients will get back to their normal activities sooner and whether there will be fewer overall complications from the surgery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult aged 65 or older who is scheduled for surgery to treat pancreatic cancer, either as a first step or after some initial treatment. Unfortunately, younger patients (under 18) and those needing urgent surgery won't be able to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to take part in a program that helps you improve your health before your surgery, which may lead to better outcomes in your recovery. The trial is currently recruiting participants at various centers across the Netherlands.
