ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the OTHER study, is looking at a new way to help older adults recover at home after a stroke. The goal is to see if a special type of occupational therapy delivered through online video sessions and support can improve how these individuals feel about their daily activities compared to traditional therapy. Researchers will track participants over 26 weeks to see how well they manage their daily tasks, stay physically active, and feel satisfied with their progress.
To take part in this study, you need to be at least 60 years old, able to walk a little with or without help, and score a certain level on a memory test. However, those who are seriously ill or have trouble understanding may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect personalized support from an occupational therapist who will help you adjust your care from the clinic to your home. This study will also look at how effective this new approach is in terms of cost and overall quality of life for participants.
