ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different surgical approaches can affect people who have a severe injury to their pancreas, specifically looking at pancreas transection, which means a part of the pancreas is cut. The researchers want to find out if methods that preserve more of the pancreas can help reduce the chances of developing diabetes after surgery. They are also investigating what causes serious complications and risks after this type of surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants must have a confirmed injury to their pancreas that has been verified during surgery. The trial is open to anyone aged 1 to 70 years and is currently recruiting participants. If you or a family member join the study, you will be closely monitored to gather important information about the surgery's effects and recovery, helping improve future treatments for pancreatic injuries.
