ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how corrective eye surgeries, like Lasik, affect a specific eye test called optical coherence tomography (OCT). This test is important for checking the health of the eyes, especially for people who have conditions like nearsightedness (myopia) and may develop other eye issues. The researchers want to understand if the surgery changes the OCT measurements, which could impact how doctors monitor eye health after the procedure.
To participate in the study, you need to be someone who is planning to have refractive surgery. If you are having surgery on both eyes, they will focus on the eye that has the more severe vision problem. However, if you have certain conditions, like high astigmatism, poor vision, or severe dry eyes, you won’t be eligible for this trial. If you join, you can expect to have your eye measurements taken before and after the surgery to see if there are any changes. This research is important because it will help improve how doctors assess eye health in patients who have had refractive surgery.
