ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called cesarean section scar defects (CSDs), which can happen after having a cesarean delivery. These defects may cause issues like spotting between periods. The researchers want to see how well a procedure called hysteroscopy, which allows doctors to look inside the uterus, can help identify these defects and how it relates to the success of a surgical repair done through the vagina. This study is important because there hasn't been much research on using hysteroscopy to evaluate CSDs.
To participate in this trial, women aged between 18 and 45 who are not pregnant and have had one or more cesarean sections may be eligible. They should be experiencing intermenstrual spotting or have specific ultrasound findings related to the defect. However, women with certain health issues, like diabetes or other serious conditions, will not be included. If eligible, participants can expect to undergo imaging tests before the surgery and take part in the hysteroscopy evaluation, helping researchers learn more about this condition and improve treatment options.
