ClinConnect Summary

**Summary of the Clinical Trial on HPV Vaccine Hesitancy**

This clinical trial is exploring a new campaign called "Appalachian Voices for Health" aimed at reducing hesitancy around the HPV vaccine in Southwest Virginia. The HPV vaccine helps prevent infections that can lead to certain types of cancer. The campaign involves Nursing and Dental Assistant students from Mountain Empire Community College, who will create public service announcements (PSAs) after learning about the importance of the HPV vaccine. These PSAs will be shared through a local transportation system and social media to reach more people in the community.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be 18 years or older and either a student in a health sciences program at a regional community college or involved with the local rideshare service. During the study, participants can expect to take surveys and take part in discussions about their views on the HPV vaccine. The goal is to understand how effective the campaign is in changing attitudes toward the vaccine and to gather feedback on its overall impact. This information will help improve future health communication efforts in the area.
