**Clinical Trial Summary: Gastrocnemius Tightness and Foot Pain in Children**
This clinical trial is studying the connection between tightness in the calf muscles (gastrocnemius tightness) and foot or leg pain in otherwise healthy children. Many kids experience foot and leg pain, which can sometimes interfere with their daily activities and affect their families. The researchers want to find out if children who have this pain also have more tightness in their calf muscles compared to children who do not have any pain. By understanding this relationship, the team hopes to develop new treatment options for these children.
To participate in this trial, children aged 4 to 17 who are otherwise healthy and have been referred to a pediatric orthopaedic clinic for foot or leg pain may be eligible. However, children with specific foot conditions or other medical issues will not be included. If your child joins the study, they will undergo assessments to measure muscle tightness and pain levels. The findings from this study could help improve care for children suffering from similar pain in the future. If you have any questions or are interested in participating, please reach out to the clinic for more information.
