ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of a medication called dexmedetomidine during a specific type of surgery known as non-intubated video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). The goal is to see how effective dexmedetomidine is in managing pain after the surgery and how it affects recovery. Researchers will also look at how much anesthesia is needed, as well as any heart rate or blood pressure changes that may occur during the procedure.

To participate in this study, volunteers should be between the ages of 18 and 80 and have an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score of I-III, which means they are generally healthy or have mild to moderate health issues. However, individuals who are pregnant, have severe health problems, or have a history of chronic pain are not eligible. If you join the trial, you will receive dexmedetomidine during your surgery and the medical team will closely monitor your recovery and any side effects. This trial is currently looking for participants, so it may be a good opportunity for those who qualify.
