ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how drinking beetroot juice, which is high in a substance called inorganic nitrate, might affect sleep and brain blood flow. Researchers want to understand if this natural supplement can help improve sleep quality and overall brain function. The study is currently recruiting participants aged between 18 to 35 and 65 to 80 years old, and anyone interested in joining should not have certain health conditions, like heart problems, diabetes, or sleep disorders.
If you decide to participate, you'll be asked to drink beetroot juice and take part in some assessments related to sleep and brain health. It’s important to note that individuals who smoke, have recently traveled across multiple time zones, or have a high body weight may not be eligible for this study. This trial could provide valuable insights into how a simple dietary change might influence sleep and brain function, so if you fit the criteria and are interested, it might be worth considering!
