ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how people with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome (JHS) maintain their balance and stability. JHS is a condition where joints are more flexible than normal, which can lead to pain and other issues. The study will use a special balance test to see how well patients can maintain their posture while standing on one leg or both legs. This is important because understanding balance can help improve everyday activities and sports performance for those with this condition.
To participate in the trial, individuals should be between the ages of 6 and 74 and have either moderate to severe joint hyperlaxity, which is assessed using a specific scoring system. However, people with obesity, certain medical conditions, or who are involved in competitive sports will not be eligible. Participants can expect to take part in balance tests and contribute to a better understanding of how JHS affects stability, which could help develop better treatments or support for others with similar conditions.
