ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a specific imaging technique called MRI T1 relaxation time in people with locally advanced rectal cancer. The main goal of the study is to see how well this MRI method can help doctors identify if the cancer has responded completely to treatment. Specifically, the researchers want to determine if changes in the T1 relaxation time can indicate the presence of scar tissue, which might suggest that the cancer has been effectively treated.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of rectal cancer. However, those with certain medical conditions, such as having a pacemaker or feeling very anxious in small spaces (claustrophobia), are not eligible to join. Participants will receive standard treatment for their cancer and will undergo routine examinations. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it provides an opportunity to be part of important research that could improve future cancer care.
