ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how occupational therapy can help improve the quality of life for elderly patients with cancer. The goal is to see if a combination of occupational therapy assessments and interventions can make a positive difference compared to just assessments or standard cancer care. Patients will be divided into three groups: one will receive both assessment and therapy, another will only receive the assessment, and the third will receive regular cancer treatment.
To participate, patients need to be at least 70 years old and have been diagnosed with colorectal, breast, prostate, or lung cancer. They should be within 1 to 3 months of starting their cancer treatment and must live at home. If eligible, participants will have their quality of life monitored throughout the trial, and they will need to agree to participate and sign a consent form. This study aims to provide valuable insights into how occupational therapy can support cancer patients in feeling better and managing their daily lives.
