ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to improve the decision-making process for people waiting for a kidney transplant. The main goal is to see if a new online tool called Donor Plan Donor Choice can help kidney transplant candidates better understand their options and make informed choices about accepting a kidney from different types of donors. Participants will use this tool, talk with their transplant provider about a plan for when they receive an organ offer, and share their thoughts on different donor types.
To be eligible for this trial, you must be at least 18 years old, speak English, and have been on the kidney transplant waiting list for more than three months. If you choose to participate, you will be part of a group that will use this new decision-making tool, while another group will receive standard care. The researchers hope that the information gathered from this trial will help improve future care for kidney transplant candidates.
