ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding oropharyngeal carcinoma (OPC), a type of throat cancer that can be linked to the human papilloma virus (HPV). The researchers want to learn more about how this cancer develops and changes over time. They will collect blood samples from patients who have been diagnosed with OPC before they start treatment and continue to collect samples at six different points afterward. This will help the team gather important information about the disease and how it behaves in patients.
To participate in this study, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a confirmed diagnosis of oropharyngeal carcinoma or a related cancer that might come from the same area. The study is currently looking for participants, but you must be willing to sign consent to take part. If you join the trial, you can expect to provide blood samples at different times, which will contribute to a better understanding of OPC and potentially lead to improved treatments in the future.
