ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well different imaging techniques can measure the response of certain types of cancer to treatment. Specifically, it focuses on patients with stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and stage 3 and 4 head and neck squamous cell cancer (HNSCC). The researchers will use a special imaging method called 18F-FSPG PET to see changes in the cancer cells during standard treatment, comparing the results to another method called 18F-FDG PET/CT after 12 weeks.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be at least 16 years old, have a confirmed diagnosis of either NSCLC or HNSCC, and be starting standard treatment for the first time. They should also be able to attend all scheduled study visits and tests. However, those who are pregnant, have uncontrolled health conditions, or have had previous cancer treatments are not eligible. Participants can expect to undergo imaging scans and regular check-ups during their treatment to help researchers understand how these imaging techniques can better track cancer responses.
