ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how mindfulness practices, both in-person and online, can help reduce emotional distress in people with emotional disorders. Researchers want to see if these mindfulness techniques can make a difference in how individuals handle their emotions and improve their overall emotional well-being. They will also look at how certain factors, like the ability to adapt thinking and cope with stress, play a role in the effectiveness of mindfulness.
To take part in this study, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a score of more than 21 on a specific distress scale, indicating significant emotional distress. They must have been diagnosed with an emotional disorder in the last six months. However, some individuals, such as those with certain mental health conditions or those who have recently practiced mindfulness extensively, will not be eligible. The trial is not yet accepting participants, but once it starts, those involved can expect to engage in mindfulness activities and share their experiences to help researchers better understand its benefits.
