ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how music therapy can help pregnant women who are hospitalized due to complications like preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM). The goal is to see if listening to music can help these mothers cope better with stress, bond with their unborn baby, and potentially extend their pregnancy. Although music therapy has been shown to benefit newborns and their caregivers after birth, this study is unique because it focuses on the effects of music therapy during pregnancy.

To be eligible for this trial, women must be between 18 and 64 years old, have a single baby (not twins or more), and be hospitalized for at least 48 hours due to the risk of premature delivery. Participants will be asked to listen to music during their hospital stay and attend follow-up visits after giving birth. If you or someone you know is interested in joining this study, it’s important to know that it aims to explore a new way to support pregnant women during a challenging time.
