ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether using nitrous oxide, a type of gas commonly known as laughing gas, can help reduce pain and anxiety during a vasectomy, which is a surgical procedure for men. The unique part of this study is that patients will have the ability to control how much nitrous oxide they receive during the procedure, which might lead to a better overall experience and higher satisfaction.
To join the study, participants need to be men aged between 21 and 85 who are scheduled for a vasectomy and can safely use nitrous oxide. They should also have access to email and a computer to complete surveys. However, a few individuals won’t be eligible, including those with certain medical conditions or those who have had recent surgeries. If you choose to participate, you can expect to receive nitrous oxide during your vasectomy and be able to adjust how much you inhale, potentially making the procedure more comfortable for you.
