ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how cancer affects body weight, physical activity, and overall health in patients with gastric, esophageal, colorectal, ovarian, or pancreatic cancer. The goal is to gather accurate information about weight loss and activity levels using new technology that allows patients to record their measurements at home. By doing this, researchers hope to better assess how these factors relate to treatment outcomes, side effects, and survival rates.
To participate in this study, patients need to be between 18 and 80 years old and have been diagnosed with one of the specified types of cancer. They should be planning to undergo surgery or chemotherapy as part of their treatment. Participants will wear a device on their wrist to track their movements and will use a special scale to measure their weight at home. This trial is currently recruiting, and it's an opportunity for patients to contribute valuable data that may improve cancer care in the future.
