ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different methods for a surgery called axillary clearance, which is often needed when treating breast cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes under the arm. Specifically, the trial is comparing the use of a special tool called Harmonic Focus, which uses ultrasound technology, to a more traditional method called diathermy that uses heat. Researchers want to find out if the Harmonic Focus tool offers any advantages for patients undergoing this procedure.
To be part of this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and scheduled for axillary clearance surgery. Unfortunately, if someone has already had this type of surgery before, they won't be eligible to join. Those who do participate will help researchers gather important information about the effectiveness and safety of these two surgical methods. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it's a great opportunity for patients to contribute to advancing breast cancer treatment.
