ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying non-functional neuroendocrine tumors located in the body and tail of the pancreas that are 3 cm or smaller. These tumors do not produce hormones that cause symptoms, but the research aims to understand how likely they are to become cancerous over time. The study will gather information from various large pancreatic treatment centers across the country. Researchers want to see if certain types of surgeries that save more of the pancreas are appropriate compared to more extensive cancer surgeries.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have a non-functional neuroendocrine tumor of the pancreas that is 3 cm or less. However, people with tumors that have spread to the liver or other distant parts of the body, those with multiple tumors, or anyone with a hereditary syndrome associated with these tumors cannot join. Participants can expect to provide their medical information, and their progress will be monitored over time. This trial is currently recruiting patients of all ages and genders, and it aims to improve understanding and treatment options for these types of tumors.
