ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how sleep problems during pregnancy can affect heart health and overall well-being. Researchers want to understand the relationship between sleep-disordered breathing, which is when breathing is interrupted during sleep, and cardiovascular health in pregnant women. To do this, they are inviting pregnant individuals between 20 to 24 weeks along to participate in an 8-day testing program where they will monitor their sleep patterns and heart health at two different points during their pregnancy.

To be eligible for the study, participants need to be over 18 years old and currently pregnant within the specified timeframe. However, women who have worked night shifts in the past month or have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder by a doctor are not eligible to participate. Those who join the study can expect to have their sleep and heart health assessed, which will help researchers learn more about the potential risks and management of sleep-related issues during pregnancy. This research aims to ultimately improve care and outcomes for pregnant individuals and their babies.
