ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective an online training program can be in teaching ordinary people, called lay first responders, how to provide basic first aid in emergency situations, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. The goal is to see if this training can help people in different countries like Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Kenya to better respond to trauma injuries. Researchers will measure how well participants learn by using surveys before and after the course, hands-on practice with patients, and reports of real-life incidents.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be involved in commercial transportation, meaning they provide transport services to others. Unfortunately, if someone does not have a way to transport people, they cannot join this trial. Those who participate can expect to learn valuable first aid skills that could help them save lives in emergencies. The information gathered from this study aims to make first aid training more accessible and effective for diverse communities with different levels of comfort using technology.
