ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how well a special type of denture, called a mandibular overdenture, works when it is held in place by four implants in the jaw. The researchers want to learn more about how these dentures affect bone loss in the jaw over time, especially in areas of the mouth that have different bone structures. This information can help improve treatments for people who have lost their teeth and may struggle with dentures that don’t stay in place.
To participate in this study, individuals need to meet certain criteria. They should have had four implants placed in the lower jaw and have been without teeth in both the upper and lower jaw for at least a year. Participants should also have some issues with the stability of their dentures and a specific amount of bone height in their jaw. However, people with certain health conditions, such as heavy smokers or those who have had radiation therapy on the neck, may not be eligible. If you join this trial, you’ll be contributing to important research that could help improve dental care for many people in the future.
