ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different types of intraocular lenses (IOLs) used in a special surgical method called the Yamane technique, which is used when there are complications during cataract surgery. The study aims to see how well these lenses perform after surgery, specifically checking how much they tilt and how this affects patients' vision. The lenses being compared are the Kowa PU6AS and the Johnson & Johnson ZA9003.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 21 years old and have either planned or undergone lens implantation using one of the two lens types mentioned. They should also have signed a consent form to participate. However, those with very poor vision before surgery or who are pregnant cannot join. Participants can expect to be monitored after their surgery to assess their vision and the position of the lens. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it’s a great opportunity for those who may benefit from these advanced surgical techniques.
