ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how to manage pain after tonsil surgery (tonsillectomy) for adults in a way that lets them go home sooner. Tonsillectomy is a common procedure, but it can cause significant pain afterward, making it hard for patients to eat and take pain medications. The goal of this study is to create a plan that allows patients to receive pain relief through an intravenous (IV) method while recovering at home. To track their recovery, patients will use a smartphone app called MAELA to report their pain levels, eating habits, and overall well-being for a few days after the surgery, and they will also receive visits from nurses.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 60 years old, have a medical recommendation for a tonsillectomy, and be able to provide consent to join the trial. They should also have a smartphone that can run the MAELA app and be covered by French social security. This trial aims to improve the quality of life for patients by allowing them to recover in the comfort of their own homes while still receiving the necessary medical support.
