ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, titled "MoMa Signature During Granulomatosis," is studying a condition called sarcoidosis, which is an inflammatory disease that can affect various parts of the body. Researchers believe that certain immune cells, called monocytes and macrophages, may be overly active in people with sarcoidosis, contributing to the formation of granulomas (small clusters of inflammation). The goal of the study is to understand these immune cells better by comparing patients with sarcoidosis to those with tuberculosis, another inflammatory condition. Participants will undergo various tests, including blood samples and tissue analysis, to help identify the immune response patterns linked to sarcoidosis.

To be eligible for the trial, participants must be adults over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of either sarcoidosis or tuberculosis. This study is open to all genders and is currently recruiting participants. Those who join can expect to provide blood samples and may undergo other tests to explore how their body’s immune response is functioning. Importantly, individuals with HIV, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those under legal protection cannot participate. This research could lead to a better understanding of sarcoidosis and potentially new treatment options in the future.
