ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how well a simple test called nasal inspiratory peak flow can measure how open a person's nose is, especially before and after they have surgery for a pituitary adenoma. The researchers want to see if this easier test is just as good as a more complex test called rhinomanometry, which measures airflow through the nose. This study is currently looking for participants aged 18 and older who are scheduled for surgery to remove a pituitary adenoma using a method that goes through the nose.
To be part of the trial, patients must be eligible based on certain criteria. They should not have had previous surgery on their nose or nearby areas, nor should they have any existing nasal diseases or problems with their sense of smell. If you qualify and choose to participate, you can expect to undergo these tests to see how well your nose is functioning before and after your surgery. This research could help improve how doctors assess nasal blockage in the future.
