ClinConnect Summary
The Senior Adult Hepatobiliary Prehab Study is a clinical trial that is looking at how an exercise program can help older adults with certain types of liver cancer who are planning to have surgery. The goal is to see if getting physically active before surgery can improve patients' health and recovery. If you are 65 years or older and have been diagnosed with liver cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, or liver metastases, and your doctor has planned for you to have surgery in at least four weeks, you might be eligible to join this study.
Participants in the trial will be asked to take part in a specific exercise program designed for people with cancer. They will also need to be able to sign consent to participate. The study is currently recruiting participants, and it welcomes individuals of all genders. This study not only aims to provide valuable insights into the benefits of exercise before surgery but also to help improve the overall care and recovery of patients facing these challenges.
