ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), a type of special imaging, can help diagnose and treat a condition called otosclerosis. Otosclerosis affects the bones in the ear, often causing hearing loss. The researchers want to see if using CBCT can improve how doctors find and treat this condition, as well as help with follow-up care after surgery to fix the problem.
To participate in this study, you must be an adult over 18 years old who has been referred to the department because doctors suspect you have otosclerosis. Unfortunately, if you have already had surgery for otosclerosis in the same ear or have other serious ear diseases, you would not be eligible. If you choose to participate, you will undergo imaging tests and possibly have surgery, with follow-up care to see how well the treatment worked. This study aims to provide new insights that could make diagnosing and treating otosclerosis more effective in the future.
