ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how exercise before surgery can help patients who have torn their anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) heal better and improve bone health. The study aims to find out if preoperative rehabilitation—essentially, doing specific exercises before surgery—can positively affect things like tendon healing, bone density, and even how well patients walk after their surgery.
To be part of this trial, participants need to be between 18 and 40 years old, diagnosed with an ACL tear through an MRI, and should be planning to have their first surgery for this injury. They should also be at least six weeks post-injury but no more than six months from the time they got hurt. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but if you meet the criteria and decide to join, you can expect to take part in exercises aimed at preparing you for surgery, which might help improve your recovery.
