ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Gynecology Beyond Gender: Cervical Cancer Screening in Transgender Men in France," is focused on understanding how transgender men feel about cervical cancer screening and the challenges they face accessing this important health service. Cervical cancer screening is crucial for early detection and prevention of the disease, and it is recommended for individuals aged 25 to 65 who have a cervix. Unfortunately, transgender men often encounter barriers to accessing these screenings, including a lack of understanding from healthcare providers and possible discrimination.
To participate in this study, individuals must be transgender men assigned female at birth but who identify as male, be between the ages of 25 and 65, and still have their cervix. Participants will have the chance to share their experiences regarding cervical cancer screening, which will help identify ways to improve access and support for transgender individuals in healthcare settings. This research aims to promote equal healthcare opportunities for all individuals, regardless of gender identity.
