ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how different types of knee replacements affect a person's ability to return to sports. Specifically, it focuses on patients who had their first knee replacement between 2018 and 2020 and will be studied at least three years after their surgery. The researchers want to see if there are differences in how well people can get back to playing sports based on the type of knee prosthesis they received. The three types being compared are the Evolution® (medial pivot), SCORE® Amplitude (mobile bearing), and Stryker® Triathlon (traditional cruciate retaining).

To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 65 and 75 years old and have had a conventional knee replacement. They should not have had a knee replacement on both legs or any previous surgeries on the replaced knee. Participants will need to provide their consent to join the study and must be part of a social security scheme. If you decide to participate, you can expect to share your experiences and possibly undergo some assessments about your sports activities after your knee surgery. This study aims to help understand how different knee replacements impact active lifestyles, which could benefit future patients.
