ClinConnect Summary
The RectSexQoL study is looking into how common sexual problems are for women after they have surgery for rectal cancer. It aims to find out how these issues affect their quality of life and whether talking to a sex expert, known as a sexologist, can help improve their situation. This trial is currently recruiting women aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with certain stages of rectal cancer and have had surgery to treat it.
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to share information about your experiences and any sexual difficulties you may be facing since your surgery. You will also have the opportunity to receive support from a sexologist, who can provide guidance and strategies to help address these concerns. It's important to note that women who are currently pregnant, have serious mental health issues, or are under guardianship are not eligible for this study. Your participation could help improve understanding and support for women facing similar challenges after rectal cancer surgery.
