ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how COVID-19 affects lung function over time, using a special type of MRI that doesn’t require any contrast agent and doesn’t expose patients to harmful radiation. Researchers want to understand the long-term changes in the lungs of people who have recovered from COVID-19. Since many people have experienced breathing problems after their illness, this study aims to gather important information about those effects.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, have tested positive for COVID-19, and have fully recovered enough to be discharged from the hospital. They should also be able to share their medical history from their hospital stay. However, individuals with certain conditions, like bacterial pneumonia or those who cannot undergo an MRI for medical reasons, will not be included. Participants can expect to have their lung function assessed through MRI scans over a period of time, helping researchers learn more about how COVID-19 impacts lung health in the long run.
