ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a specific type of injury called Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury, which can occur during vaginal deliveries. Researchers want to understand how this injury affects women's mental health, self-esteem, and relationships with their families, especially with their children. By learning more about these impacts, the goal is to provide better support and care for women who experience these injuries after giving birth, helping them improve their relationships and parenting.
To participate in this trial, women must be at least 18 years old, have had a vaginal delivery (not a cesarean section), and be able to understand and consent to the study. Participants should also be able to speak English. If eligible, they can expect to share their experiences and feelings related to their injury, which will help researchers understand the broader effects on their lives. It's important to note that issues from this type of injury might not show up right away and could affect women for a long time, so ongoing support and treatment options are essential.
