ClinConnect Summary
The HanYang University Medical Center (HYUMC) Registry is a study that looks at patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) who have undergone a procedure called percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). This procedure is often used to open blocked arteries in the heart using a special type of stent. The goal of the registry is to understand how these patients do over the long term after their treatment and to find out what factors might lead to complications or problems later on.
To join the study, patients must have had PCI with a drug-eluting stent at one of the participating Hanyang University hospitals since 2012. Unfortunately, not everyone can participate; for example, patients who have been hospitalized multiple times or who passed away during their initial treatment cannot enroll. Participants will be monitored over time to collect important health information, helping researchers learn more about the best ways to care for patients with heart issues in the future.
