ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new therapy designed to help older adults who have difficulty swallowing, a condition known as dysphagia. The goal is to see if a special program that combines exercises to improve swallowing skills and build strength can help these individuals eat better, strengthen their swallowing muscles, and enhance their overall quality of life. Researchers want to find out if this therapy can lead to noticeable improvements in how well participants can swallow, their tongue strength, and their nutritional health.
To be part of this study, participants need to be older adults who can understand and speak Danish and score between 5 and 18 on a specific swallowing test. They should be able to follow simple instructions and provide consent. Participants will attend therapy sessions 2 to 3 times a week for up to eight weeks, where they will practice swallowing exercises tailored to their needs. They will also practice these skills during their regular meals at home. This study is open to older adults who meet the eligibility criteria and are looking for support in improving their swallowing abilities.
