ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different skin disinfectants: honey and alcohol. The goal is to see which one works better and is safer for cleaning the skin, especially in healthcare settings. Honey is being studied because it is a natural product that has many health benefits, while alcohol and other traditional disinfectants can sometimes harm the skin and lead to problems like antibiotic resistance.
The study is looking for children aged 2 to 12 years who have healthy skin and haven't used any antibiotics or similar medications in the week before joining. However, children who have weakened immune systems or skin conditions like eczema won't be able to participate. If eligible, participants can expect to apply either honey or alcohol to their skin under the guidance of researchers and help us understand which option is better for keeping skin clean and healthy.
