ClinConnect Summary

The Cold Atmospheric Plasma Device Extension Study is looking into a new treatment for common skin conditions called warts and molluscum contagiosum in young patients aged 4 to 21. If your child has at least one wart or molluscum lesion, they might be eligible to participate. The study will last at least 4 weeks, but treatments could continue for up to a year, depending on how well the lesions respond to the treatment. Participants will receive a non-thermal plasma treatment chosen by a dermatologist, and doctors will monitor the safety and effectiveness of this method by looking at changes in the size, pain, and appearance of the lesions.

To take part in this study, participants must be between 4 and 21 years old and have at least one lesion. They also need to be willing to participate and have their guardian's consent. However, children who have had recent treatments on their lesions, certain health conditions, or specific types of lesions will not be able to join. If your child participates, their progress will be tracked through photographs and evaluations by their doctor, helping researchers understand how well this new treatment works.
