ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called the Erector Spinae Plane Block to help manage pain for children and teenagers undergoing surgery for idiopathic scoliosis, which is a condition that causes an abnormal curve of the spine. The researchers want to see if this treatment can reduce pain levels after surgery, help with recovery, and decrease inflammation.
To participate in this study, children aged 10 to 18 who are scheduled for surgery to correct their scoliosis may be eligible. However, those with certain conditions, like a history of chronic pain or infections at the injection site, are not able to join. Participants will receive the treatment during their surgery and will be monitored afterward to evaluate how well it works in controlling pain and supporting recovery. This trial aims to ensure that young patients have a smoother and more comfortable healing process after their surgery.
