ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of bright light therapy on individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), a condition that often leads to problems like feeling very sleepy during the day, overeating, weight issues, and mood changes. The researchers want to see if using bright light can help reduce excessive daytime sleepiness in people with PWS. This trial is currently looking for participants aged 21 to 65 who have been diagnosed with PWS through genetic testing and have a score of 12 or higher on the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, which measures how sleepy someone feels during the day.

Participants in this trial will receive either the bright light therapy or a placebo (a fake treatment that looks the same) to see which is more effective. It's important to note that individuals with certain eye conditions, previous treatments with light therapy, or serious mental health issues like active psychosis or mania are not eligible for this study. If you're interested or think you might qualify, this could be an opportunity to help researchers understand new ways to improve daily life for those with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
