ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring the effects of a treatment called Sujok therapy on patients who are undergoing hemodialysis, a process that helps people with kidney failure. Many patients experience uncomfortable symptoms like fatigue, muscle cramps, and headaches during their treatment, which can affect their quality of life. Sujok therapy is a simple form of acupressure that patients can learn to do themselves, and the study aims to see if it can help reduce these symptoms and improve comfort for patients during hemodialysis sessions.

To participate in this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and have been receiving hemodialysis for at least six months. Participants will be placed into one of three groups: one receiving Sujok therapy, one receiving a placebo (which mimics the therapy but doesn't have the same effect), and a control group that continues with standard care. The therapy will be provided during 14 dialysis sessions, and patients will be asked to complete surveys to track their symptoms and comfort levels before the study starts and after several sessions. Overall, this trial aims to find effective ways to help improve the well-being of those undergoing hemodialysis.
